On wednessday we left Kristiansand in Norway to sail our first overnight passage. We sailed for 26 hours and 130 nautical miles to reach Hvide Sande in Denmark. The passage started with pretty rough sea and a lot of wind, so we we’re a little bit sceptical in the beginning. Luckily it got a lot calmer throughout the night. When we we’re sailing at night time we we’re both trying really hard to keep our eyes open and no to get seasick. When it was sunrise we we’re feeling a lot better, because we could actually see the waves and not just feel them. From the morning on thursday till the end of our passage at night, we we’re very lucky with the weather conditions and it was very comfertable to sail.
The overall expierience was really good and we would defenitly do more overnight passages:)
Now we are going to stay in Hvide Sande because there is a storm coming. We will use our time here to do some surfing, fishing and other things:)
